About ecoEquity Canada

EcoEquity was founded by Blair Wilson, Canada’s first ever Green Member of Parliament, to promote and foster environmental home energy efficiency.

Working in cooperation with the Government of Canada’s Ministry of Natural Resources and the Province of British Columbia’s Ministry of Energy, Mines and Petroleum Resources ecoEquity’s new Green Lease Program creates a single access point for homeowners to realize the best opportunities for utilizing government incentive grants, saving energy and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

Ryan Windsor Ryan is based in Sannich on Vancouver Island and is focused on sustainable living and off the grid energy effecient technologies as well as agriculture and farming. Ryan is extremely well versed in all aspects of environmental technology.

James Andru

James Andru James is responsible for Multi-Unit Residential Buildings (MURBs). He works closely with many Condominium Strata Management companies to promote and facilitate green building programs that not only save energy and save money, but also help save our planet. ecoEquity's Green Lease Program provides Strata Owners with an affordable monthly financing option that captures all of the current grant supports and all of the energy savings today. The extended payment terms can replace the need for upfront special assessments of current owners. An ecoEquity Green Lease Program is also available for Multi-unit Rental Properties.

Sharien deVillers

Sharien is a customer driven, quality focused, experienced sales professional. She has over 12 years of experience in the home heating and cooling field having worked with Lennox Canada, National Energy Equipment,Goodman Manufacturing and Carrier Corporation. Sharien is responsible for developing and servicing ecoEquity's growing Dealer Network of heating and cooling Preferred Partners within British Columbia.

Nicola Fairweather

Nicky has a background in planning, finance, and law both in England and here in Canada. She brings her organizational skills to ecoEquity and is working closely with our team at Lighthouse`s Sustainability Centre of Excellence. Nicky is also responsible for developing and servicing ecoEquity's network of residential developers, builders and contractors as well as solar PV dealers and installers within British Columbia.

Shea Pownall

Shea has a long family history of environmental protection having worked with his mother Colleen McCrory and the Valhalla Wilderness Society to protect 49,600-hectare and establish the Valhalla Provincial Park in British Columbia. Shea is committed to the environment and helping make a difference. He is focused on expanding ecoEquity's Green Lease Program to as many individual homeowners and dealers as possible.

Brian Staszenski

Brian Staszenski

Brian is based in Edmonton and services ecoEquity's homeowner, community organizations and dealers located in Alberta. Brian has over 20 years of experience specializing in assisting community and institutional organizations with environment resource efficiency and management. He holds a Masters Degree in Community development and is focused on developing ecoEquity's Green Lease Program across various communities within Alberta.

Norman Howrelak

Norman is experienced in the building sub-trades as well as sales and marketing. Norman is responsible for developing and servicing ecoEquity's growing Dealer Network of heating and cooling Preferred Partners within Alberta with a specific focus on the Lennox Dealer network within Alberta.

Myles Kitagawa

Myles is deeply concerned with protecting our environment and social justice. He works closely with many non-profit organizations and community groups that share his concerns. Myles is responsible for developing and servicing ecoEquity's growing alliance with these various organizations specifically Myles works with the Greater Edmonton Alliance and Sustainable Works within Alberta.

Mike Hanna

Mike has an extensive background in organizational management and was instrumental in establishing key resource management approaches in major watersheds and National Parks in western Canada. He has worked with government, industry, and NGO's and developed and implemented operational efficiency audits within the recreation, manufacturing and heavy industrial sector. Mike is a graduate of the University of Alberta and holds a Masters in Applied Behavioral Sciences. He is based in Edmonton and focused on expanding ecoEquity's business opportunities throughout Alberta.
